Regain access to your account

When your account is ready for recovery, you’ll get a text or call with instructions for regaining access to your account.

1. Go to iforgot.apple.com and enter your Apple ID.
2. Confirm the phone number you provided for account recovery.
3. After you confirm your phone number, we'll send you an Account Recovery code by text or phone call.
4. Enter the account recovery code in the field provided and click Continue.

After you correctly enter the recovery code, you can choose a new password, verify your trusted phone number, and sign in normally.

Tips to regain access faster

If at any time you remember your password, or regain access to a trusted device and can sign in successfully, your account recovery process will end and you can continue using your Apple ID as before.

Here are other ways you can shorten your Apple ID account recovery time:

• Click Confirm Account Recovery in your request confirmation email.
• Go to iforgot.apple.com and check the status of your request. If you can provide additional account information such as credit card details, you might be able to shorten the account recovery period, or even regain access immediately.

Hey , did you already sorted out your problem yet? Same things happened to me . Expired link and no instruction . I start recovery and it takes another 11 day .

My wife forgot her apple id ipassword and we were trying to recover it by using lost password but it says

Account Recovery in Progress

Your request for account recovery is still being processed.

When your account is ready for recovery, instructions will be sent to the phone number you provided.

Account recovery will take a few days. You can check the status of your request at iforgot.apple.com

My problem with the call is that I may miss it. I received an email to confirm recovery but I was told the link had expired

Note i saw the link about 40 minutes after it hit my inbox. So I have to repeat the process again so pathetic t

i've got same email and i confirmed the link successfully, so does it help me to recover my account quickly ?? because i've seen that almost people hadn't got any reply from apple until 7 weeks and more . not few days like what they said .

I have the same problem! I even clicked the support link and called apple 3 times! I even ask for the supervisors and even they say they can't do anything. ridiculous!

WWas chatting g with them on Twitter and they said the process is automated. Disgusting
