Invalid response from Iphone - can't connect

Dear all

Just updated iphone5 to IOS10 and when connecting to a PC I get the following message on two different PC's:

"Itunes could not connect to the Iphone because invalid response was received from the device"

The PC doesn't recognize the Iphone as an external drive as well, yet there is connectivity (device charging, Itunes pops up etc.).

Any ideas?
