I Recently just updated my iphone se to iOS 10.1 but when I go to my Heath app, all the data is missing and I cannot even open the recent activity, I am greeted with the spinning icon. I am running iOS 10.1 on iPhone se

Did you update using iTunes? Was your iPhone restored as part of the iOS update? If so, there was a restore done from your iPhone backup.
Health data is saved in your iPhone's backup in iTunes only if your backup is encrypted. If you did not choose to encrypt your backup, the health data is lost upon restoring from a backup in iTunes.
I also have this issue on an iPhone 7. My Health App doesn't even seem to want to connect to the iPhone when I check for the devices, just get the spinning wheel. It won't even start to collect new data in this latest release. I think something happened to the app in this last update.
Just tried wiping phone and restoring from iCloud. Still doesn't work.

The same thing happens on my iPhone 7 too.As soon as I updated,I can see neither health data nor "no health data" message,just a loading bar.The data is still there because I can still see it with a fitness app like Lark.Very strange.
are you able to go to sources and see the data there? i can't
No.Sources are empty too.But if i "ask" Lark for example, for my activity or sleep,they are tracked as normal.
EDIT: I dont know if Lark keeps some data on its own,like backup.

EDIT2: Confirmed that health app will not save/track anything.Sources wont work and even if I force new data from fitness apps it wont save it to Health.Frustrating.
I have this problem too. But on a iPhone7 Plus. Good excuse to forget the diet today I suppose 😐
I have also an iPhone 7 Plus, waiting desperately for the "Portrait Mode" in 10.1!
I had the same problem already with iOS 10.1 beta 2. Called the support, but they refused to help, because it was a beta. Then I updated back to 10.0.2. I hoped it was just a problem in the beta, but the filnal 10.1 has the same problem.
No time at the moment to call the support. Did anyone try?
Same problem on my iPhone 6S Plus. I tried to restart, and also to restore all settings, but nothing worked. 😢
Same problem here, same fix: Revert to 10.0.3 (not .2 in my case), restore a good pre-10.1 backup, all the data returns. Update to 10.1 and it's gone again. I submitted a bug report.
I did and they said to me that it was a beta and was adamant even when I should then on their own website the new update
I just upgraded a different iPhone 6 to 10.1, and the Health App works fine. Unfortunately my personal iPhone 7 still does not work! So disappointing. 😟 Don't know what the difference would be between the two installs. Considering doing a clean install, but don't want to lose all my Messages!! Argh!!
This worked for me. All my activity including the ones from after the upgrade have returned.
On Mac: in iTunes press option+Update
