iOS 10.1 Battery drain

Hello.

Updated my iPhone 5 to iOS10.1 and have been having battery problems.

1 - It jumps from 30% charge to 1% in a few seconds then shuts down.

Now here is the stranger part.

As soon as it reboots after connecting to a charger it show 30% charge. When I unplug it right away it still shows 30% and runs like nothing happened for a good few hours.

So it goes from zero charge to 30% in the time it takes to reboot? Strange.

2 - Shutting the phone down at night with a good 80% charge, it won't reboot in the morning due to no battery charge. I plug it in and its back to 30% in a few seconds.

Thanks for any suggestion in advance.

Hi Alexander

I suggest that you check whether 'night shift' is enabled on your phone. That will automatically dim it by reducing the amount of blue light at certain times of the day.

iPhone 6s plus shutting down when it comes near 37% even in temperatures well above zero degrees (8°-12° C)

Longing for reasonable solution. Support told me to pay for service on a product problem :-(

My iPhone 5s has the same issue, I always carry a cord & power block. It's a very irritating issue that should have been addressed months ago!

Probably a iOS bug, visit the service Centre if you are worried.

Try restoring the device using ITunes and send if that resolves the issue.

If IOS bug wait until apple releases and update.

Yeah, for me, 10.2.1 is causing quicker battery drain like 13% in 30 minutes - but no random shutdowns yet.

meant your way of approaching your issue is not iOS or an Apple thing. Some of the users here were indeed affected by issues Apple recognized.

Get real. read above- programming affects parameters. Did you count the users claiming no resolution with 10.2.1?

iPhone 6S Plus (MKUD2PM/A) after a year of using him without any problems, he first time restarted two times this winter on maybe -10*C
I am using newest firmware 10.2.1 (14D27)
