iOS 10.1 Battery drain

Hello.

Updated my iPhone 5 to iOS10.1 and have been having battery problems.

1 - It jumps from 30% charge to 1% in a few seconds then shuts down.

Now here is the stranger part.

As soon as it reboots after connecting to a charger it show 30% charge. When I unplug it right away it still shows 30% and runs like nothing happened for a good few hours.

So it goes from zero charge to 30% in the time it takes to reboot? Strange.

2 - Shutting the phone down at night with a good 80% charge, it won't reboot in the morning due to no battery charge. I plug it in and its back to 30% in a few seconds.

So i have a QC serial early iPhone 6s 64gb space grey.....battery already changed by apple under that pgm....was ok until ios 10.2.1.....anyone else had issues who did the battery change by apple ?

yeah mine battery is also replaced by the apple . but still the problem persists.

Thanks for the info. Feels good to be validated. This issue was created by the OS. And like I thought the IS is not accurately reading the battery level. Someone's eating crow. ;)

I have an iphone 6 and upgraded from 10.2 to 10.3 two days ago. The random shutdown didn't go away and it's worse. It shutdown random on 98%, 97%, 96%,....

Call Apple. They can run diagnostics on your battery over the phone. That will tell you alot.

I did the restore (took 5 hours!) and it still blacked out once so far. Was able to get back by pressing home and power keys. Not acceptable. Not happy.
