Apps not launching in 10.12.1 after boot / first try

Hey,

I've installed the 10.12.1 update on my iMac yesterday. After reboot, many apps I had set to start automatically wouldn't launch, their icons just kept bouncing.

Right-clicking and force-quitting them, my mac told me that the app couldn't be opened. If I clicked the icon again, the app would open immediately.

So far this has happened with many apps, including Spotify, Dropbox, Sublime Text, Firefox, Chrome, Airmail.... which are all updated to their latest version. Rebooting my mac doesn't help, the apps just won't start on the first try.

Alfred 3 won't even start up at all anymore.

So far I've checked the disk permissions with disk utility, deleted the PRAM (cmd+option+p+r while booting), tried re-installing the apps... nothing helped.

The activity-log in the console throws alot of "CSSM Exception: -2147411889 CSSMERR_CL_UNKNOWN_TAG" errors. If it helps, I could post the full log, this is just an excerpt:

Since I can't edit the post for some reason, I'll have to reply to myself:

It seems like some others are having the same problem:

Re: 10.12.1 - problems after update

This is driving me crazy - I never thought such a small update would cause such huge problems. I really don't want to erase my drive and do a clean install of macOS sierra, because that would take ages. Is there any way to fix this?

Sadly I don't have any recent backups (which is totally my fault). I really didn't anticipate so many problems with such a small update. I mean, every major OS update was way smoother than the transition from 10.12 to 10.12.1 ...

For now, I guess I'll have to wait for a solution, or an update from Apple.. even though that could take a while.

That can take too much time I'm afraid...

Get Find Any File (MAS) and ALT-search for all files modified since your last backup.

Back them up to ext. drives (e.g. USB thumbs).

Restore to last working backup and copy your new fils back.
