No more Mac App Store Update History?

Since the last upgrades following macOS 10.12.1, the Mac App Store does not list the updates any more that were installed in the last (30?) days. Is it a temporary glitch? Is it on my Macs only, or is it happening everywhere?

I found the Mac App Store settings in the system preferences, and the settings are (automatically?) set to automatically download and install applications. In this case I am very interested to see which apps were updated recently (and with which intended improvements) – just as I can do in the iOS App Store.

Any way to get the update history list back?

I found the update journal file actually still existing in ~/Library/Application Support/App Store/updatejournal.plist, and you can read the file with a text editor app. It's a little bit difficult not to get lost in all the details in that XML file, but you will find the infos which app was updated, when it was updated and what the new features are.

It is just the App Store not displaying the journal any more. I hope Apple will correct that mistake soon.

I do think that approach is pretty drastic. But I am happy that you are now happy now...

Both my iMac and MacBook exhibit the missing 30 days of updates completed. This error hit me in the same timeframe as others complaining about the issue. We have been affected by some problem in the MAS system. There were other issues from the MAS just before the disappearing updates list.

I booted my iMac from an external drive with 10.12 installed. Next, I signed into the MAS and the symptom is there as well. So I don't think the 10.12.1 update was the cause.

Maybe your nuke & pave somehow resets what is displayed by the App Store app, when it is first opens up and communicates with the MAS.

I have had the same problem since updating to Sierra (clean install of 10.12 actually) after doing my first updates through the App Store. This didn't change after the 10.12.1 update. I am not doing a clean install to fix it...way too much effort and inconvenience. I'll post if I hear of another alternative, but this is clearly a bug or corruption issue.
