Have upgraded to iOS 10 on iPad and trying to use via Apple TV airplay, the adverts on ITV hub player work fine but when the actual programme starts the picture is lost and only the audio continues!!
Anyone else experienced this, and if so is there a fix?

I spent hours on my own and hours with a very patient Apple support rep with no effect to sort out this problem. On itv hub ads play and the sound but no picture. eventually I rang the itv I player support team and it appears that the new Apple download has caused the problem as it does not properly support the itv I player app and they are working on it
so.........watch this space. Hope this stops others wasting as much time as I did on trying to sort it out, I am afraid that it's a waiting game but they did say it was number one priority.

I saw somewhere else that iTV don't support AirPlay and have more or less said that it worked previously it wasn't because it was intended to.

Many thanks for your reply. I understand the ads play as they are prepared for any media that the agency wants to sell them on, whereas ITV need only prepare their programmes to fit their requirements. As you say, we can only hope they get around to a fix, as watching on a slower rated laptop loses some of the clarity and synchronicity.

Developers can choose to block AirPlay at any time, if there is a glitch and it's supposed to work then it is still their responsibility to fix it.
I am awaiting a reply from ITV online help, so am prepared if they confirm this - thanks
I also have the same problem since beginning of Nov also affecting bbc I player.
