IKEv2 on macOS won't show in `scutil --nc list`

I'm currently using macOS Sierra, and just have found this annoying problem.

I have multiple VPN connections setup in Network Preferences. All the other VPN connections can be manipulated through the command `scutil --nc`, except for an IKEv2 VPN connection.

It seems that all IKEv2 connections simply won't show in `scutil --nc list`, and they can't be managed in command line.

Maybe I've done something wrong in configuring the IKEv2 connection, or I'm experiencing a bug?

Thanks.

The internet seems to agree that this is a bug. An alternative is to use AppleScript to do some UI Scripting. Check out the script I wrote in this StackOverflow answer: How to get IKEv2 VPN connection by AppleScript? - Stack Overflow

You'll be able to run the script from the command line via osascript, and it shouldn't be too hard to modify to make it only run once (just take out the outermost repeat and get rid of the delay at the bottom). Good luck!
