Bitrate is too low

Hi

I have Gopro hero 4 black camera and I record my videos at 2,7k 60fps. When it comes to edit videos in FCP it is quite lame to have so little options about encoding output in product which has "pro" at the end.

My problem is that when I have native raw from came at 2704x1520@59.95fps with bitrate almost 60MB, encoding to youtube standards cut dramatically bitrate to less than 23MB.

Youtube requires H264 codec so I set h264, resolution 2560x1440 with 59.95fps with everything set to high output file has quite nice quality but its bitrate is cut to ~23MB.

And after uploading this video to youtube it is only 1080 60fps (I waited 48 hours, still the same options) and what I have read it is because bitrate is too low for 2k 60fps which is recommended 24MB and youtube creates only 1080 60fps video which has much worse quality than output file.

I tried to do everything with settings but still cannot set more than 23MB.

What is your experience with editing such video? I am talking about edit gopro 2,7k or 4k video in FCP to have the best possible youtube quality.

Don't ask why I want to have such video, I just do.

I use FCP 10.2.1

Final Cut Pro X

Really? Did you check? You can edit in native resolution 2,7k 60fps if you want.

You can encode in ProRes 422 or, if you are so inclined, in ProRes 4444XQ. That is as Pro as it gets in the industry.

You can use Compressor Settings and do anything that Compressor can do.

If youtube limits what you can output, that is a different matter altogether. Youtube will always reencode whatever you upload, and any limitations it imposes have nothing to do with FCP X's capabilities.
