How do you use spit view with excel and word on iPad Pro?

Split View for apps is a Mac OS X feature. Neither iOS or iPad Pro are Mac OS X. You can view web pages in split view on an iPad using iOS 10 https://tips.apple.com/en-us/ios/ipad?category=featured

edit: Although split view doesnt work on my iPad 4 with iOS 10......wonder why?

So, anyone wanting Split view will need to have or purchase an iPad Mini 4, iPad Air 2 or one of the iPad Pro models.

Thanks for that. I've fallen behind with all of the new features on both iOS and OS X as all of my equipment is too old to take advantage of any of it......heck I'm still trying to figure out everything on my iWatch!
