Spam Calendar Invites

In just the past week, I have started getting spam in my calendar.

Now, I have looked all over the net and most of the previous discussions and how-tos involve preventing calendar items from getting passed from Mail.app to Calendar.app. I do not believe this is happening. I have Mail.app set to not send to Calendar.app. I am not seeing any spam mail in the Inbox of Junk box. It's just coming straight to the Calendar.app.

When my wife sends a calendar event to me, I do not get any sort of email, just the invite in the Inbox of the Calendar.app. So that's how these are coming in. Probably straight from a spammer using a Mac on iCloud.

How do I block these? There doesn't seem to be any way to do so.

Someone suggested in a reply above that the "delete a calendar" method still sends a "Declined" receipt to the sender. If that is true, it's not a solution at all.

Seem like I have to reply to my own comment to have this webpage generate a timestamp link I can use to hyperlink to my post to include in Apple Feedback. How uniquely Apple and think different.

We don't care who's doing it or how. We'd just like Apple's help on preventing it.

Yes, but note that even when you move it to another calendar and delete that calendar, the contact still shows up when you go to send out an invite to a calendar event.

Thanks very much for the 'spam calendar' suggestion. It appears to have worked, for now. How intensely annoying, though. Sent feedback to Apple, hopefully it will spur some action.

Now you just need to delete the Junk calendar you created and everything will go with it.

and choose , at the pop-up, "Delete and don't Notify"

I'm confused, how does sending the invites/spam to my email solve the problem?
