i tunes wants to install same update 12.5.3
Why does ITunes want to install 12.5.3? again? I already installed it, but I just got a notification
in Software Updates it wants to install it again.
The first one was successful.

Can you check what version of iTunes you have installed by opening the app and going to iTunes > About iTunes?
Apple release version 12.5.3.16 earlier this week but that version contained a pretty serious bug so a patch was released which updates iTunes to version 12.5.3.17
Unfortunately the App Store doesn't show the full version number so it appears as if you're installing the same version of iTunes again.
If you already have version 12.5.3.17 installed, you may need to restart your Mac to stop it appearing repeatedly in the Updates tab in the App Store.

Thank you. I had no idea that was what was going on with the iTunes updates. Now that I know what to look for I can check in the future.
