Home button in assistive touch disappeared

I have been using assistive touch for long and somehow the home button in the assistive touch menu disappeared recently, leaving me with the other 5 options (voice control, custom, Notification center, device and control center) but not Home.

I tried rebooting (normal reboot) and holding down home button + power button to reboot, and the issue is not fixed. How can I fix this issue?

The assistive touch menu now looks like this:

You can customize the menu (add back in the home button) by going to settings > general > accessibility > assistivetouch > Customize Top Level Menu. You can add in the buttons you want and select the number of icons you want. You might have just subtracted the default number to 5 rather than 6. Hope that helps!

Try Settings > General > Accessibility > Assistive Touch > Customise Top level menu.

Either use the reset button or tap the + at the bottom, then tap the large + icon to configure it as the home button.
