Macbook Pro 2016 - 13 or 15 inch?

Two points:

The difference between the 13" CPUs is minimal. If you have spare cash that you want to spend, then go for the faster CPU otherwise the slower one will do just fine.

A quad core CPU will out perform a dual core only if the application being run is designed to run on a CPU with more than two cores (parallel processing).

I have exactly the same question a month ago, I went for this:

2016 13 inch Macbook Pro with 16 GB memory, 1TB SSD, and the 3.3GHz dual-core Intel Core i7 processor

Before making up my mind I went through extensive researches and even went to the Apple store to see the real "item" since the specs I want are only available through online Apple Store.

Having had the new MBP 13 2016 for 3 days, I am loving it!!!

To give you a comparison this is my old MBP spec:

MBP 15" mid 2012 with Retina, it was originally the 750G SATA HDD, but about 6 months ago I upgraded to 500G SSD by replacing it with the CD ROM with upgraded to 16G RAM also. The machine works great for what it's worth, very reliable but had heat issues (can be solved by Mac Fan control)

Problem with the 15" is that it's simply too heavy, I travel monthly and portability with long battery life are essential to me, without compromising the Spec (i.e I almost switched to MacBook Air!), my average battery life is around 2.5 hr.

The new MBP 13 2016 is very well balanced, I use my mac on the go all the time, love the new touch ID, touch bar can take some time to get used to but it's very cool and can be very useful once you get used to it. Battery life is way better than my old MBP 15, I am getting 6 hrs + with full charge + wifi and 10+ tabs on Chrome.

Recommendation: Get the 13" wit higher spec if you want portability

May I ask you how long your battery lasts on average? I have the same machine and it runs dry in 2 hours. I'm replacing it, but am not sure if it will be with the same machine or not.
