Music widget malfunctioning

Hello,

My music widget always shows 'playing' evrn though i have no music and my iphone is barely used. When i am about to press the home button to unlock, the screen shows music is in play mode. I pause it and then unlock the iPhone but when i lock it again, it still shows 'playing'. I have tried pausing it in control centre too but no use.

Please help as its very annoying.

Thanks

Hey Kh.Umair,

Thanks for using Apple Support Communities. I see that you're having issues with the Music widget on your iPhone. This is a great feature when working properly and I'd like to point you in the right direction to resolve this. You mentioned that it appears as if it is playing but you don't actually have music on your device. If you put the volume up, do you hear any sound? What happens if you remove the widget? Use the link below to remove it.

Use Widgets on your iPhone, iPad, and iPod touch

Use these specific steps:

Add or remove Widgets in the Today View

You can add and remove Widgets and even reorder them so your favorite ones are at the top.

  1. Swipe right over the Home screen, Lock screen, or Notification Center.
  2. Scroll to the bottom and tap Edit.
  3. To add a Widget, tap User uploaded file. To remove a Widget, tap User uploaded file. To reorder your Widgets, touch and hold User uploaded file next to the apps and drag them in the order you want.
  4. To finish, tap Done.

Cheers
