How do I import music from CD's without a CD player?

I recently got a new computer without a CD player on it. I have music on CDs that I don't know how to transfer onto iTunes now, as I didn't buy them from the iTunes store. I've tried putting the music on a USB, which works until I try to open it on iTunes. If I try to open the files on iTunes to put them into my library, it follows through as if it had been added to my library, but in reality, it takes me back to the iTunes page I was previously on, without the CD's music. How do I import my CD's music without a CD player on my computer?

Buy or borrow an external CD player. They plug into the USB port. Once you have it connected to iTunes, choose file > devices > import (or import playlist) > choose the CD player and sport the music.

Two more options in addition to Stuart's suggestion:

2. If you have access to another computer with a CD drive, rip the CD using iTunes on that computer. Copy the resulting audio files to a flash drive. Then copy them from the flash drive to your main com[pputer, and add them to your iTunes library.

3. If any of the physical CDs were purchased from Amazon, log into your Amazon account and download the corresponding MP3s. There is no charge for this; it is the Amazon "AutoRip" feature.
