Hi

The Watch app is not included and cannot be installed on your iPad, so it is not missing from there.

On your iPhone, when looking for the icon manually, keep in mind that you may have moved it to a different Home screen and/or moved it into a folder (which may itself contain multiple pages of apps):

User uploaded file

To search for the app, when viewing the Home screen on your iPhone:

  • Swipe down on the centre of the screen > in the Search box at the top of the screen, type "watch" > if the Watch app is found, when the icon is shown in the search results, it will also show (to the right of the app icon) the name of any folder that it has been moved to.
  • You can also tap on the icon from within the search results to open the app.

If you have deleted the app from your iPhone:

Open the App Store app on your iPhone > search for "watch" > add the app back to your iPhone.

If you save a podcast as an MP3 file and sync it to your watch via the synced playlist, you can use the Music app on Apple Watch to listen to it via paired Bluetooth headphones independently of the paired iPhone.

However, the track will play as would a single, long music track, with no dedicated podcast controls - so this workaround does not offer the functionality of a "podcast app".
