Using Kali Linux via bootable USB

I installed Kali on my USB and it worked fine on my Windows PC but when I launch it on my Macbook Pro (using rEFInd) it says "end kernel panic - not syncing vfs unable to mount root fs on unknown-block(0 0)"

How do I fix that??

My question is why even install Kali? It's pretty much only a command line OS mostly useful for traversing the Dark Web or working with security software included with the distro. I installed it just to see what the big deal was. Not that big so I removed it. They do have a downloadable version for the Mac that boots from a

USB stick that's easy to use.

Good thing he found you (or vice-versa) for help. I remember your help when I got jammed up with my Fusion Drive. Really appreciated your help.
