Sharing apple notes

Couldn't Connect There may be a problem with the server. Please try again later. Is the message I have received for the last 3 weeks every time I try to share a Christmas list on Apple Notes (IOS10.recent) I have rebooted - deleting is pointless as it's apparently only hidden. Any suggestions?

Have you tried signing out of your iCloud account and signing back in?
