What's this ??
Since I have Mac OS Sierra installed on my new machine,
It comes even though I have carried out a "clean installation".

I have a

iMac (Retina 4K, 21.5 Zoll, Ende 2015)

3,1 GHz Intel Core i5

Intel Iris Pro Graphics 6200 1536 MB

21,5-Zoll (4096 x 2304)

Intel Iris Pro Graphics 6200 1536 MB

Every now and then it starts when the iMac starts
the Appellogo
Square RED and the loading beam
Green is (it is noticeable that the Mac then loads particularly slow)
What can it be - what does it mean?

Hello Andybln,

THank you for using Apple Support Communities. It's my understanding that your Mac intermittently starts up with a red Apple logo and a green progress bar. I can definitely see how this would be concerning. I'm happy to help get this resolved with you.

First, I recommend starting up from macOS Recovery and using Disk Utility to repair your startup disk. Use the steps and images below for assistance:

To start up from macOS Recovery, hold down Command (⌘)-R immediately after turning on or restarting your Mac. Release when you see the Apple logo.

If you can't start up from macOS Recovery, try holding down Option-Command-R to start up from macOS Internet Recovery*.

Startup is complete when you see the utilities window:

To quit, choose Restart or Shut Down from the Apple menu (). To start up from a different startup disk, if available, choose Startup Disk from the Apple menu, then select a startup disk and click Restart.

Have an amazing day!

I already had a contact with Apple Germany and have tried all possibilities. We also updated the system once again - the effect (as seen in the video) remains. I bought the iMac in the summer (with El Captain) without me this problem. The iMac runs otherwise quite well! I would just like to rule out that it is a hardware defective - but ONLY an update of OS Sierra is necessary. Can it be a faulty "graphics card driver"? with friendly greetings from Germany
