What does "instant message (found in whatsapp)" in the contact info in my messages app mean? It shows contacts other than the one I'm messaging! Thanks in advance.

Hi i know this measage is old but i was wondering if anyone found out if you messaged the contact did the message go to all the numbers that said instant message found in whats app.

I have restore the Iphone 6 from factory And it continues. Please Help!!!

I thing this might be connected to whatsapp account that had been hacked or is redirecting messages to the contact.

Hello Ann. I was digging and I found the answer.

This seems to be a problem with Whatsapp since for example: I have a contact name Javier and other who´s name is Javier Arrateaga (both differents numbers, but the same name or even and only same letter can be too) If I go to Javier´s contact it show´s his number in the instant message and other number that is from the other contact Javier Arrateaga! If you click on this number (Javier Arrateaga) It goes to another screen, press on the message icon and should goes to the chat session with that person on Whasatpp. On the contact Javier now the contact detail icon of message changes to Whatsapp. This seems to be a bug from the app as I understand.

Settings —> Contacts —> Contact found in apps

Turn it off and you won't be getting any suggestions. :)
