IPHONE 7 PLUS BENT ! VERY UNHAPPY CUSTOMER

Hi....was wondering if anyone else is having this issue. We have been long time Apple fans and supporters and he had several phones, including a 6 Plus when it came out. He never had any issues with bending, but now he saves his money since Apple wants a premium for the shiny black color and it only lasts a few days till it bends? There are other phones out there that seem to be just as thin and even their larger Note models don't bend!!

Has anyone else experienced this issue? I sent my son to the Apple store to see if they could help him, as it took months for him to save up the "premium price" and he never had this issue with his 6s. He waits a week for an appointment and then no one wants to help him, a college student, who has years of purchasing ahead of him? The workers at the Apple store said that they were instructed not to help anyone with this issue. Is Apple hiding something again and they know that there is a problem? The glass did not break and there was no case on the phone......

iPhone 7 Plus, iOS 10.1.1, Shiny Black * Paid the premium !

If you put the phone in your pocket then sit and bend it, then you caused the damage.

Either use pants with cargo pockets or keep the phone in your bag.

If you bend your car by driving it into the wall, when you park, would you go to the car's dealership and blame them for the bent car? And demand a new one? NO!

Keep your iPhone in cargo pockets!

Ludacris!!! No other model has had this problem! It's an Apple design issue. If only Apple would put as much quality into its products as the quality they expect from contractors building Apple Park we wouldn't have issues. I'm working on that project and it's insane to see the money being spent on a building whose only wow factor is it's size. **** Nokia charger hanging on strong while apples only last 6 months.

I've been doing the same work for over 10 years. Never had this problem when I had the 4, 5, 6 plus! Only a few months into having he 7 and it's bending. Obviously it's not stronger. It's not like the phone is subjected to hours and hours of pressure in my pocket. It's a ****** design issue plain and simple. Nothing you can say will change my mind.

My iPhone 7 plus has a slight bend to it on one side towards the middle. I went to replace my phone case and noticed my phone didn't lay flat when set on the counter. I went and visited the Genius Bar confident being my phone is under a year old they would replace it. I'm at stay at home mom and never wear jeans. My phone has always been in a sturdy speck case and either in hand or in my purse. I also have a screen protector. No other damage besides this weird bend. It's currently not causing any problems but I worry it will get worse. I was told it could only be caused by accidental damage and offered to fix it for $350.00 I tried calling apple support and they weren't any help either. As a loyal apple customer this is extemely disappointing and frustrating. I'm hoping by commenting here it will make apple realize the bending is still an issue.

I understand it just doesn't bend itself. Maybe my wording wasn't the best. But it supposed to withstand a lot of pressure and be fairly strong. I haven't done anything beyond normal wear and tear that would exert a huge amount of force on my phone to cause it to bend. I'm basically saying it is defective because it bent so easily. My phone has always been in a thick case with a screen protector.

I had the same problem. I didn't do anything to that happen. I'm really unhappy and disappointed with apple that was supposed to be he best brand for me. I always have iPhone and I consider the best device. By unfortunately my iPhone bent and I have it for almost a year. And I went to an Apple Store and they said I need to pay €380 to get a new one.. it doesn't make sense. I paid €789 last year and I have to pay more €380 to get a new one? I never saw a cell phone bent before. I don't use in the pocket and I didn't drop. I'm really curious to know what happened but they refused to take my device. They just said that I need to pay€380 to have a new one. Really disappointed and unhappy with apple.

Really? You mean the phone bent itself? You put it down on a table and it just up and bent itself? Do you expect anyone to believe that? Phones don't bend by themselves. It takes considerable force to bend an iPhone (or any other phone). Sitting down with it in a back pocket will probably bend it. There are probably a couple of other scenarios, such as leaning against a desk or table with the phone in a front pocket. But the bottom line is that you bent it. Take some personal responsibility.

You are correct -- although I'm now suspecting the overly snug fit of certain Speck cases. I went to trade in my iPhone 6 for an iPhone 8 Plus the other day, and we couldn't get my Speck Candy-shell Grip case off the phone. The phone has NEVER been dropped, never kept in a pocket, or mistreated in any way. (Always kept it in a zippered belt holster pouch.) However, upon eventually getting the case off, we noticed the glass delaminating near the volume switches -- clearly the phone got bent during the removal process! Hence my trade-in value went down the tubes right in front of me! Not happy with Speck at all. I can't blame the phone because it is certainly well-built, but being so thin it does run the risk of bending. If I had known this I wouldn't have ordered another Speck case for the new phone!

Having the same *severe* bending issue with my 7Plus. Received the device end of Sept, and it's lived in its case from day one, atop my desk. I'm very careful with all of my devices.

There are two apecies: one just distal of volume down, the other just distal of power button on the other side. The device is otherwise pristine with no glass damage.

The Apple genius who helped me at the store accessed me of intentionally malforming my device, as the bending issue has been fixed. He offered me a replacement for $349.

I have another appointment and will update accordingly.

This is rediculous!
