HOW DO I DISABLE QUICKTIME OR UNINSTALL IT?

Why would you want to?????

Quicktime Player is an application that comes with the OS.

You should not delete it.

Just leave it be.

Quicktime, itself, is a framework that allows programs to deal with video and other media. It is still part of the OS, but now deprecated, and newer programs rely on AV Foundation, instead.

You can delete it as any other app.

1. Go to Finder

2. Open Applications folder

3. Choose Qiucktime and drag it onto the Trash

4. Empty the Trash

No you can't.

No I won't delete quicktime or will disable SIP .

If your web browser says that it's missing the QuickTime plug-in - Apple Support

You can always install another player app and set it as default and Quicktime won't bother you anymore.

You can't delete quicktime as it is required by OS X , any ideas by disabling System integrity protection ( SIP) then try to delete it .

DON'T try to delete it.

If you don't want it, don't use it. Simple as that.

You can limit or block access to any application by creating a managed account. System Preferences -> Parental controls
