Is a japanese iphone 7 compatible with US NFC?

Hi, I lived in Japan until last week and i bought an iphone 7 there. Is the suica NFC type F installed in the japanese iphone 7 compatible with the NFC in the US? i´m moving there in a week and i´m not sure if it will work...

Hi! Thank you for your answer!. It´s known that if somebody goes to Japan with a new iphone 7 sold outside this country (for example USA) won´t be able to use apple pay there due to the FeliCa (NFC type F) standard: Only Japanese iphones support this standard. What i wanted to know is if i go to the US with my japanese iphone i will be able to use apple pay.

As long as i know there´s no NFC hardware difference; it´s a licensing issue (FeliCa belongs to sony) and apple has to pay any kind of license per every iphone. The FeliCa is an standard there and everything uses it (so it´s almost mandatory for apple to include it). Outside Japan is not commonly used, so probably they don´t pay this license... but the hardware is capable to connect to NFC-F.
