iPhone 7 Plus Yellowish Screen Tint

I bought a non-contract iPhone 7 Plus 128GB Jet Black last November 11 at a local retailer here in Quezon City, Philippines. Assuming that everything was normal, I was completely unaware that there was something terribly wrong with the display of my new phone until I laid it beside my old iPhone 6 side-by-side around a week after I purchased. I got really frustrated with the night and day difference. My new phone looked so odd compared to my 2-year old daily driver. With Night Shift turned off on both phones and trying to set the brightness on the minimum and maximum level, my new iPhone 7 Plus looked so yellow and dim albeit being brand new.

I researched and found a "fix" that aimed to "correct" the yellowness of the screen but it seemed superficial to me since it doesn't really resolves the issue.

Have contacted Apply Support since Saturday (November 26) and have already spoken to different tech agents through call and chat. I was first asked to reset all settings, then hard reset the device and restore it as a new iPhone and to no avail the screen still looked the same. Then last Monday (November 28), spoke again with another Apple Support Staff and tried to look into the Display Accommodation "fix" and have figured out that it's not a software issue. I was also able to speak to two different Senior Analysts with the one asked me to send photos of my iPhone side by side with 3 other iPhones and the other one recommended to bring my phone to the nearest Apple Authorized Service Provider and have the display replaced.

iPhone 7 Plus - iPhone 6 (100% Brightness, Auto-Brightness disabled, Night Shift disabled)

I have been honest to all the tech support that I have spoken to that I wanted my device replaced instead since it cost me around USD 1,020.00 here in the Philippines and yet I'm not that fully satisfied with the experience that Apple had promised. I may have chosen other phones that cost cheaper but being an iPhone user since I switched from an Nokia N9 in 2012, I still have big trust and expectation on Apple products.

Do we share the same concerns about the iPhone 7? If yes, what did Apple said to you about it? Will it be fixed? Can it be replaced?

Got an iphone 7 128GB matte black here. I bought it last November 14 if I remember correctly. I just noticed the yellowish screen of the phone last week when I borrowed my dad's iphone 6. I placed them side by side that day just to compare their appearances since my dad left it on the table. I know there's no any noticeable differences on them. I was just playing around. But to my surprise, when I have both screen turned on, the screen on my phone appears to be yellowish than the other. Both phones were on full brightness and night shift were off. The difference can be seen right away. My brother saw it too and asked me to have it checked on powermac service centers here. I don't have time yet to visit one so I did look for similar cases here on web. Some suggested to adjust color tint settings but that trick did not work for me.

Got here an ip7+ with the same storage. I bought mine on nov 11 and noticed the difference two weeks later when i laid my phone with my former iphone 4s. The difference is night and day, considering my old phone is now 4 years old. It's most noticeable on the settings and phone dialer screen with the background all white. I actually spoke with 2 different Apple senior analysts. The other one have not responded anymore, the other one advised me that my ultimate choice is to have my screen replaced. Which I have not considered until now since I think it might just worsen things. They say that replacement is clearly not an option. Which is frustrating.

I totally agree with you. I actually am starting to lose heart to pursue getting justice for this since Apple have stopped cooperating with me already, given the other senior analyst's advise. Do you know of any other thing we can do to have this settled? Or will there anyone ever be willing to help us? Forgot to tell that the guys at the Power Mac Center then told me that they cannot replace the unit since it is an issue that does not affect the phone's functionality. But how about value for money, right? How about satisfaction? Every centavo we paid are hard-earned will that not suffice as reasons?
