GarageBand Changing the key of a single track

I am fairly new to Garageband and with the recent update, I am a little lost on changing the transposition of a single track. I may also be talking about something else so I apologize in advance.

I am running 10.1.3 and I remember being able to change the key of a individual track in the previous update by using a slider much like the volume slider. I know how to add a transposition slider to the top of the tracks but I am wondering if there is another way to get the same effect without changing all the tracks. I remember the old feature being in the "Plug-ins". When I use the pitch shifting I do not get the same effect as using the transposition editor.

Can someone who knows a lot more about music help me out here?

Thanks!

Is the track you want to transpose an audio track or a software instrument track?

For an audio track open the Track Editor, enable "Follow Tempo and Pitch", then select all regions in the track and set the transposition slider to the value you want:

For a software instrument track you also open the Track Editor, select all regions, then move the Transpose slider to the value you want.
