how to update IOS 8 on iPad model A1337

How can i update IOS 8 on iPad model A1337? When i try to download any app its requires IOS 8. I have gone to software update but it shows that iPad has been updated.

The iPad 1 can not be upgraded beyond 5.1.1.

It can’t be updated past 5.1.1. Try downloading the current version of those applications on a computer or newer iOS device first, and then checking again.
