Logic Pro X working with iZotope RX 5?

Hi!

Does anyone have experience with the workflow between Logic Pro X and iZotope RX 5 audio editor?

iZotope's website explains how to connect the two:

To set RX as the Sample Editor for Logic Pro X:

  1. Select Logic Pro menu -> Preferences, and then click on the 'Advanced' tab.
  2. Enable the 'Audio' check box.
  3. Click on the ‘Audio’ tab, and then select the ‘Audio File Editor’ tab.
  4. Click in the ‘External Sample Editor’ path, and navigate to your applications folder. Select RX and click ‘Choose’.

To edit audio from Logic Pro X in RX:

  1. Select the audio file.
  2. Click Edit/Open in iZotope RX (the keyboard shortcut is Shift + W)
  3. RX will automatically load.
  4. Perform your audio edit, then click File/Overwrite Original File to save the edit.
  5. Close RX, and navigate back to Logic Pro. Logic will automatically update the audio file to reflect your edit.

Now to my issue.

I have done the first part without any trouble, but once I want to edit the audio files I run into problems.

RX does not show up in the Edit menu. (However, the shortcut works)

And when I am trying to "Overwrite original file" I cannot click it. Instead I have to save the file and import it into logic, which takes tons of extra time. I am running both programs in 64-bit on MacOS Sierra.

Does anyone know what the problem could be? (haven't found any threads on this subject)

Thanks!
