Can't get new Apple Watch to add CapitalOne card to Wallet

I just got my Apple Watch Series 2 and was trying to set it up. I was able to add one of my credit cards to the Watch, but it won't let me add the Capital One card. I get an error that says "Invalid Card". I have tried several times and the PIN is correct. It works fine on my phone. Not sure what the issue is.

Simple. Just add the card Manually. In the Apple Watch app on the iPhone your watch is paired with scroll down and select "Wallet & Apple Pay."

Then select "Add Credit or Debit Card." From there you can scan your card or enter it manually and then follow the directions to verify the addition.

The simplest way is to open the Capitol One Wallet app. (Yes, it looks a lot like your Apple Wallet app, but the Capital One logo is on the front "card.") Follow the prompts to add the card there.

I'm having the same problem. Just bought an Apple Watch, cap 1 card won't add to Apple Pay on watch. Error message: Invalid Card. All credentials are correct. Works fine on phone. Tried to add it as a new card on watch via watch app, invalid card. Deleted form phone tried to add it again, now I get the invalid card message and can't add it back to Apple Pay on my iPhone. Worked with geniuses in Apple Store. No luck. Called capital one, on the phone for over an hour while in the Apple Store. No luck.... now i cannot use my cap one card on my phone or watch. Although, the card itself still works, i.e. it has no declined messages/hold ups/freezes. I had the same problem with my USAA card but after about 8 hrs after purchasing watch I tried again and it worked. Hoping cap one card will just "magiaclly" start working/let me add it to Apple Pay (at least on my phone). Amex card worked like a charm. Just pushed the add button in watch app. No trouble there. I'll keep you posted.... any advice from the folks at Apple?

I had problems, too. Though my Capital One card had worked on my phone for years, it would not validate for my Apple Watch series 2...until today (9/17/17, just prior to iOS 11 and Watch OS 4). What I did was, I first added my card to my iPad Air 2, mostly out of boredom. That worked perfectly, so I thought, "why not try it one more time in the watch app to see if this shook things up a little". To my surprise, it suddenly worked in the watch app, too, after waiting a while (couple of minutes, maybe because of BT hop to watch?). Anyway, if you have an iPad that supports Apple Pay, this could be a solution for you, too. If not, maybe borrow one, set it up, fix your watch, and then remove it from the iPad.

I was having the same problem with my Apple 3 watch. I finally got my Cap One Visa on my watch. I suspected that my watch was locking up before I completed the app on my phone, so here is what I did.

On the watch app I went into Passcode. I turned on Unlock with iPhone. I now have Simple Passcode, Unlock with iPhone, Erase Data and Wrist Detection on. I went back into the Wallet & Apple Pay. Under the cards on your watch selected Add Credit or Debit Card. Instead of selecting the Visa that was their I picked the Enter Cards Manually. It worked. Hopes this helps.

Try entering all of your card information manually. Chances are that the card which the Watch app suggests has the wrong information within it. I have two middle names and that is what was messing it up for me. To input your card information manually go to the "Watch"app on you iPhone and...

Under "Wallet & Apple Pay" select "Add Credit of Debit Card", click "Continue", select "Enter Card Details Manually".

This is where I saw that Apple was automatically plugging in all four of my names and I had to correct it to match my card.
