My Late-2011 15" Macbook Pro just had its logic board replaced due to GPU failure. On boot I still see a line of artifacts across the loading screen. This happens when (it seems) the display mode changes. Is there something I can reset to try and resolve this, or do I have to take it back to Apple again? (This ONLY happens on boot)

Having same issue with Mac Pro (so posted over there: Mac Pro showing horizontal static line when booting ). You get any resolution?
I have an MBP Early 2011 with same problem.
This started after installing macOS Sierra 10.12
I have tried NVRAM and SMC resets.
Started up in Safe Mode.
Repaired Disk.
These steps didn't help.
When I get a chance, I will try reinstalling the macOS.
Please contact Apple and see what can they do for you.
I have a spare SSD lying around. I'm going to install a fresh copy of Sierra and let you know if it worked.
Clean installation of Sierra on a new SSD did not solve the problem. Now the question is...Is it really a problem?
