Question: Ios 10.2 draining battery FAST!

I installed IOS 10.2 on 12/12/16. Phone was 100% charged at 7:00 pm; at 4:00 am on 12/13/16 the battery was completely discharged.

What changed in IOS 10.2 to affect battery usage like this?

iPhone SE, iOS 10.2

I have this same issue with iPhone 6. I had the issue with iOS 10.1.1 and then the 2nd build of iOS 10.1.1 helped and the battery issue went away. Now with iOS 10.2 the battery issue is back again with the percentage dropping quickly by 10% or more all at once. I've already done all the tricks and I know for certain this is an iOS 10.2 issue.

I have an iPhone 6 and I also have the issue you describe above. My iPhone shuts off without notice when my battery percentage is at about 42-47 percent. The battery drain began with the first iOS10 and since getting iOS 10.2 yesterday it drains faster. The battery life tips do not improve battery life.

I am experiencing the exact same issue with a recent upgrade to 10.2 on an iPhone 6. Nearly identical experience since upgrading to iOS10. But with the upgrade to 10.2, the problem has grown exponentially worse. Now, the battery drains even more rapidly (literally before your eyes) and crashes unexpectedly. Virtually unusable at this point.

I have an iphone 7 and had no real issues with battery drainage in previously IOS updates. I installed IOS 10.2 (latest) update yesterday, and immediately after my battery started draining with no apps open precipitously. I had it plugged in while I slept overnight and it never reached back to 100%. Something is going on here, and I'm hoping apple is working to fix this.

I have same problem with my iPhone 6S. After update to iOS 10.2 battery life goes drammatically down. I tried a new fresh iOS installation over iTunes with backup, but it does not solve that. iPhone is getting hot during any work and in few hours percentage goes from 100% to 60% and less. In less than 4 hours to 48%. I believe, Apple will solve that soon with new fix.

Same situation here with my iphone 6. Never had battery issue before. An overnight charge always carried me through the day with decent 50-70 % batter left. Not any longer right after 10.2 update. Man, I need to charge my phone almost whenever I can. It drops 20% in an hour of standby.

Same issue here with a iPhone 7 Plus....a few days after installing 10.2 and my phone ran REALLY hot and plummeted from 100% downwards to 6% before I plugged it in.

Normally after a day at work I get home with between 50-60%, now I have to plug in before lunch as it starts hitting 30% and then have to plug it in again when I get home.

At first I thought it might have been Facebook, but after deleting for a day it still drains super quick.

The worrying thing is I can only see a handful of comments on the web, and even not many replies to this thread.

Why isnt there more noise if it is a 10.2 issue?

Maybe it's another rouge app?

BTW - I have completed a restore and still doesn't fix the issue.

Update on my two phone I went to the Apple Store yesterday and was instructed to wipe the phone clean and do a clean install of the iOS and not install my clouds backup of my phone so I went ahead and tired it and now the battery does not drain as quickly. Side note there was quite of few people there with the same problems as me and they where all told to do the same thing.
