Ios 10.2 draining battery FAST!

After changing battery under battery replace program by Apple and updating to 10.3 nothing change. Problem is still persisting. Tried set as new, upgrade in DFU, restore from previous backup, reset network settings...nothing helped. Comparing with my wife's iPhone SE, which hold 2 days...what to say?

I to have been having a battery drain on my 7.

Had phone for a few weeks before going to 10.2.1 and was really happy with battery life. And then i updated.

Tried the 10.3.2 beta and no change. Starting to get annoyed as my Pixel had a better battery life.

Wife's s6 is on 10.2.1 and unplugged them at 100% and left un touched over night and hers still at 100% and mine at 79%.

I even dfu restored 7 via itunes and left with no apps on there for a few days and still the same.

i have about 9 months old iPhone SE, and have only two or three episodes with battery - last one about some weeks ago. now i am on latest 10.3 firmware, and except that few situations, when my battery drops from about 50 - 70% to about zero, all is ok - my battery lasts about 2 days, and lost about 5 -7 percent per night. as so in my case that was strange events, who i dont know, how to repeat. i think, most of another iphone users is the same, and in the same time there is some percent of iphone users, who constantly have problem with its battery.

since software is the same, and even reset settings do not help, i suppose, problem may be hardware related, or at least - partially hardware related...?

I found a solution !!! In my case was due signal, try puttin your mobile data ( voice and data ) on 3g , or turn off 4g depends on your carrier . Its not a normal action but battery life is back without 4G .

I have an iPhone 5 (16gb) and I have this issue ever since I have upgraded to IOS 10. I am now at IOS 10.3.1 and the battery life is horrendous. I have previously done everything which is recommended to increase battery life from when I first got my phone. I have very few apps as I don't tend to use too many as I primarily use my phone as a communication device (and to fill in boring waiting times searching the net and social media). I only have around 276 photos and a couple of videos and have 3.31 gb remaining.

I don't spend time investigating any new features when I get an upgrade as I assume the upgrades will be better and tested. It has been some time now that people are complaining about the horrendous battery life with this upgrade. My batter barely lasts 4-5 hours when out and about. Previously I would leave my phone 100% charged before going to bed and in the morning after being idle all night it would still be between 95% to 100%. Now it goes from 100% to 1% overnight in standby mode with no use or activity.

This is obviously a major issue and we would like to know if Apple is doing anything to address this ongoing issue. You need to realise that when these devices were sold we were advised that they had a certain talk time and standby time. This times no longer apply and as such they product is not up to spec compared to what we were told due to an issue created by the manufacturer.

An update and a solution would be greatly appreciated.

Same here. I bought my brand new iPhone 6s 32 GB in December. It's new. I used only original accessories to charge it, but anyway, it dies fast. Today i late to work because it discharged from 36% to 0% and turned off, so there wasn't alarm. This is not first time. Before iPhone i had Lumia 625. It could work whole day with those 36%. It's battery after 2 years had almost same capacity as new in iPhone.

Apple should fix this bug months ago, but they didn't, so i won't buy iPhones anymore. And don't recommend to do so to anyone. It's not helper, it's unreliable piece of scrap.

iPhone owners got screwed again with battery draining after software update. i wouldn't even recommend to get

a new iPhone because your only going to waste your money. There's obviously aren't any fix for this issue until they come out with a new phone with a new improved battery. Of course, a new software update for the improved battery will be come out and you're forced to update your phone,

Only to find out, back to the battery drain problem again.

There's no end. save your money.

For the past month, I've noticed my battery getting worse and worse. First, my phone shut down while I was recording a video and my battery level was in the "70's". Now it's lasting less and less.

Today, my battery % was at 81, then my phone quickly showed 6%, and shut down. Once I plugged the charger in & the phone powered up, the battery % was at 65%.

I have an iPhone 6, about a year and a half old, running on iOS 10.3.2 (just updated today, hoping it would fix my battery problems). No such luck.

Oh, I've completed all of the "ways to fix your battery life" suggestions. Well, all accept completely overhauling my phone and starting from scratch. I really don't want to do that. Saving as a last resort.

It cost me $199.00 to claim a new or refurbished iPhone 6 Plus 64 GB.

So my new phone has no battery issues with all the same apps from the old one.

So I've spent more than $1000.00 installment pay plan for 2 years from Verizon including the insurance claim just to be back to normal with my phone.

I read in another post that if you go to settings > general > background app refresh and turn off the apps you don't use, that will fix the problem. I did it yesterday and today I have 77% battery left instead of 12%. It works!

I have had Background app refresh turned off since I got my phone over a year ago. I have activated or deactivated every battery saving option recommended the day I got my phone and yet once I update to 10.2 my phone battery began to drain extremely fast immediately. BTW, I don't have an apple watch and it still drains fast.

With the amount of people on this thread (and many others others on the web) complaining about the battery drain on 10.2 - 10.3 it is obviously a major issue which Apple have not addressed or even bothered to recognise as an issue.

If there was a simple fix it would be know by now. Unfortunately to date there is only wishful thinking and the usual battery save features/options which have little impact on the new Battery drain feature introduced in 10.2.

Maybe this is a ploy to increase sales.

Even i was having a charge around 40-50 % and i've disabled wifi,mobile data,bluetooth before going to sleep. I've enabled airplane mode too. i hav set an alarm for early morning wakeup. But its really so disgusting my iphone 6s shutsdown. After upgrading to ios10.2 it behaves so \weird. In future apple doesn't upgarde the battery then it leads to disaster.

Finally solved here. In service they told me my phone is ok, battery is healthy. i send it there two months later again. Same result. I was really upset and ask them again to test my phone in stand by mode. And guess what. They found problem with antenna and I got replace my phone. Go to service as long as you have problem. They told me it must be caused by software but in the end they found out it's hardware. Unfortunately they don't care much and you have to do it all by yourself. Good luck.

Apple isn't going to be able to fix this, because the more you use your phone and the older it gets, the more the battery will run out and eventually it will die. You will still have all the components of your phone after the battery replacement, but the battery will run out much slower.

I woke up to a dead phone (iPhone 5c) last week where it normally would have only gone down to ~90% so I had the battery replaced.

It is still losing power at an alarming rate (1.5 hours standby down to 68%).

A cell phone is the best piece of safety equipment for your car, so it needs to be reliable.

I have read this whole 32 page thread and have tried all possible suggestions (no longer under warranty) with nothing that works.

The only way my phone will hold a charge is when I shut it down completely.
