Ios 10.2 draining battery FAST!

Same issue here with a iPhone 7 Plus....a few days after installing 10.2 and my phone ran REALLY hot and plummeted from 100% downwards to 6% before I plugged it in.

Normally after a day at work I get home with between 50-60%, now I have to plug in before lunch as it starts hitting 30% and then have to plug it in again when I get home.

At first I thought it might have been Facebook, but after deleting for a day it still drains super quick.

The worrying thing is I can only see a handful of comments on the web, and even not many replies to this thread.

Why isnt there more noise if it is a 10.2 issue?

Maybe it's another rouge app?

BTW - I have completed a restore and still doesn't fix the issue.

As I wrote before, restore doesn't fix the issue 😟.

I have a 7plus and a 6 both phone where charged at 100% when I went to bed at 2am last night I wake up an hr ago at 7am the iPhone 7plus is dead and the 6 is at 25%. they are both on ios 10.2 and the 6 never gets use but to make phones calls. also the phone seems to charge slower and heat up more when charging.

I updated my 6 plus exactly 1:00 pm my battery is 80% that time, after 5 min may batt went down to 75%! without doing anything. It was just on a standby mode! Please fix this!!!

I Wars VERY happy with my battery performances of my SE on 10.1 and on since 10.2 as of now it lasts about 1/3 of time. Even on standby with no intensive usage it lasts from morning to lunch, i have to charge it continuosly at home car Office restaurant, always charging wherever i find a plug. Unusable

I have successfully fixed this issue on my iPhone 7 with 10.2, although a bit of a pain.

Someone suggested I might have a corrupted app from a reinstalled back up, and they may have been right. Maybe this app had a conflict with 10.2?

So, as a pain in the backside it is, try doing a clean instal and set up as a new phone, and presto draining battery issued solved.

Same here! After updating to 10.2 on iPhone 7 battery goes down for 1 percent every 5 minutes. Does anybody opened a ticket for the problem?

Update on my two phone I went to the Apple Store yesterday and was instructed to wipe the phone clean and do a clean install of the iOS and not install my clouds backup of my phone so I went ahead and tired it and now the battery does not drain as quickly. Side note there was quite of few people there with the same problems as me and they where all told to do the same thing.

Same issue in iPhone 7 IOS 10.2. Since yesterday update to 10.2 my battery drains 50% faster than in 10.1.1

Iphone 6S Plus is doing the exact same thing, I barely installed the new ios10.2 last night and my battery is taking alot longer to charge. When it does charge to 100% after like 4-5hrs it drains down to 75% in a matter of minutes. This was certainly not how it was before this ios update. I know how much I use my device and usually about how much time is left before I to think about re-charging. I already went through the entire battery save checklist of removing all the background app refresh. Turning off all privacy and diagnostics and all the new stuff added that was not there before in previous version of 10, not 10.1 either. I know I am not the only one having this issue because I have been on a lot of forums today and it seems that this is quite widespread across the 6s+ platforms. I need my phone back to the way it was where the battery life could last 1-2 days without a single charge. I hope this is not a gimmick in getting people to trade in their old phones to get the new iphone 7....

When you Factory restored the phone did you recover the iphone from the cloud or start as a new phone

I have the same exact issue on my iPhone 6 ios 10.2. Clean install without any restore did not help.

My battery dies within 3 hours with little to no use whatsoever.

So after mine being fixed by a clean install and set up as new phone....2 says latter it's just started to drop 1% per minute and running super hot.

Not happy, and appears a clean install and set up as new phone doesn't help.

I have the same problem after updating my iPhone 5s to iOS 10.2.

I'm very concerned about the battery drain and the heat of my device, since when it is in standby using 4G, it gets pretty hot...

I have same issue on my iPhone 6s iOS 10.2, my device is so hot while I'm doing same in previous version, and battery drains so fast.

Reset all settings didn't solved my issue, I also did apple tips for battery and even did more.
