I installed IOS 10.2 on 12/12/16. Phone was 100% charged at 7:00 pm; at 4:00 am on 12/13/16 the battery was completely discharged.
What changed in IOS 10.2 to affect battery usage like this?

Interesting is, that phone call drain battery so much. I usually don't call very often, but yesterday I called for 45 minutes. It drained battery by 50%, despite cell phone signal was perfect.
iphone 5 here. 10.2.1. Same problem.
However, my ipad is also updated to 10.2.1 and I don't have the battery drain.
Try discharging the phone to at least below 20% then recharge. Worked for me, might work for you, worth a try.
I have an iPhone 7 plus and ever since 10.2.1, drains quickly and shuts down when it reaches 40% battery. Did all the things necessary to extend battery life. Still! Hope Apple resolves this asap!
Rzc333 - ur experience on 7 plus : same as mine drain fast to 40% dies in apple logo loop. Restart and battery is 14%. What Carrier are u? Att? Started right after 10.2.1?
Mine is a 6s plus space grey, this has been happening now for 3 or 4 months, It happened after my upgrade to 10. It is so annoying
kindly update the ios 10.12.2 and check with low battery mode option.
Go setting and select the battery option then enable low battery mode.
if you not seen any improvement then visit the Apple SVC.

Last week I noticed, that my phone is draining fast and then it stops for a while at 41%. Then it drain fast again. Anyone has the same occurrence?
I have a 6. Have never had any battery issues.

I had to buy a powerbank.
My batteries on previous Apple phones have lasted. My iPhone 4 is still going. The iPhone 5 lasted 4 yrs and just had a new battery.
