Emergency SOS issue.. !! Keep sending SMS

This morning by mistake as my winter jacket sleeve was too tight, SOS was initiated on my Apple Watch. From that moment my contacts that are set on that feature started getting SMSes and this continued during all the day as I was moving to different positions.

My credit dropped down a lot!!

SOS Emergency explanation on the Apple Watch iOS app says that this can be disabled by going to Notification and deselecting "stop sharing". However there is no such feature under "notification"... why? Secondly even if I deselect SOS Emergency services, my contacts continue to receive SMSes... so I had to stop using my iPhone.

It is the first time that I need to consider iPhone an unreliable device and switch to other devices in order to continue working... so bad feeling... any help please?

Clear as mud. Finally found the notification. It is on the watch, not on the phone. You scroll top down from the clock screen. One of the notifications will be from the sos app and allows you to press a button to stop sending sma updates when your location changes.

Tnxs. However I may have been not clear enough. I am not getting any recurrent notification on my Apple Watch and nothing on my iPhone status bar.

Everything is silent and not showing anything, but the SMS are sent automatically anyway. Is this a bug? I tried to restart both my iPhone and Applewatch and deselect the SOS Emergency feature without success.

My father has this problem, too. I've received emergency signals 5 times already. He says he doesn't press the button for long time. Maybe he did unintentionally the first time, but later — surely not.

I'm experiencing the same thing!!! It's so annoying. How did you solve it? I turned off the watch and turned it back on again but it still keeps sending the text alerts. I even restarted my phone. No luck.

Thank you. Was driving me insane as it was still sending messages. Had remived my parents from the ID, stopped livation sharing on the phone... The last one my phone was even powered off when the wife informed me. Seems good now

Same issue here. Accidentally activated SOS. Location update SMS keeps being automatically sent to my EM Contact can't find any setting to turn off/cancel this feature.

I don't know which would have been easier. I fixed mine by impairing it from my phone, then re-pairing it. I restored it from the last automatic backup and it worked perfectly.

O am having the same issue. It continues to text my emergency contacts when I change locations. Driving to work or back will send 3-4 notifications to my emergency contacts.

This bug needs a fix.

if you Stop Sharing, does that just disable it for that SOS instance? or does it completely turn off Sharing for any subsequent SOS calls?
