Apple needs to fix this and make sure updates work when they release them, I'm getting this snapchat issue as well were it crashes and makes your phone restart every time you click on snapchat
Having Same Issue. Still No Fix???
It's actually the opposite.
Snapchat, and other iOS developers get access to the new code ahead of Apple's release date and are on the hook to update their app, perhaps in cooperation with Apple, to work with the new iOS.
Not the other way around.
I'm still having this problem! Thought it was just me, I have sent multiple complaints to Snapchat with no reply... Glad I'm not the only one. I've also noticed that it only happens when I swipe left from the camera screen (to view snaps that people have sent me).
I've been having this issue since day 1 of the 10.2 update and haven't seen any threads about it since now. I've completely wiped my device, loaded a clean 10.2 OS on my device, before even doing a restore (worried something was corrupt with the backup and might bring it back with the restore) I simply downloaded snapchat while on the clean OS and it was still happening which tells me it's something with the 10.2 and snapchat compatibility that's causing this.
So frustrating!! Same problem here with my 6 plus. I hope they fix this soon!
same problem here fully updated ios 10.2 and snapchat on my iphone 6 plus and every time i swipe to the left screen it restarts, please fix
If it launches correctly and then crashes afterwards, it's a SnapChat issue.
I suggest you direct your "please fix" requests at them
I've been having the same problem for a couple of weeks now. Apple really needs to fix this.
Again. If the app launches, but crashes while doing something else, it's not Apple's issue.
Nobody wants to answer that question.
Does the app launch at all?
The app launches and then the phone restarts. Snapchat could be the problem, though it seems more likely that the iOS 10.2 update is the issue. This issue was present during the beta phase for some users.
And sounds like an issue for Snapchat to resolve.
Everyone wants to angry at Apple, but the truth is, Snapchat has the iOS code it needs to work with.
When they solve the problem, I'm sure they'll release an update.
As long as it gets fixed I'm happy. I don't think it hurts for the apple community to be aware that a large number of its users are having this issue, whether it is theirs to fix or not.
OK... but nobody here can fix anything. We answer questions.
Nobody on this thread is asking questions.
They are ranting and saying "me too" and asking Apple to fix something they can't fix.
I have an iPhone 6 and I updated to ios 10.2, I had this issue too. I went on to Snapchat and then to settings, scroll down to clear cache and I cleared memory cache and browser cache. This didn't remove my contacts and it didn't change anything, except when I went back on to Snapchat it was fine. Hope this helps.
