LaCie Porsche Design Connection on Wireless Router

Hello,

I just have bought a new 5 TB LaCie Porsche Design External HDD. I can use it with my MacBook Air and Samsung TV with USB Cable. But I want to connect it with my LAN Router and use wireless. I can use this router with usb flashdrives or another external disks with smb:// connection. But i cannot do it with my LaCie. when i enter my router' s homepage with browser (http://192.168.1.1), i can see LaCie hdd connected and all smb and ftp settings are OK. But i can not connect with ftp, too. It always gives an error at connection with MacBook Air.

MacBook Air, macOS Sierra (10.12.2), LaCie

some routers may ask you to reformat the drive in a file format that is readable to the router.

In it's current file format the LaCie drive may not be accessible without a reformat.

Once the drive is formatted the other devices on the network should be able to Read, and or Write and or Delete which can also be set on the router.

A reformat will destroy all data on the drive.

Backup before proceeding if you are going to proceed.
