the Sony TV may require photos on an external drive or flash drive formatted to Windows.
Most if not all Sony TV's do no read Mac formatted media.
otherwise you cold connect your Macbook pro with a VGA, DVI or HDMI cable and mirror the display. The cable adapter type depends on your Sony TV model
Thank you, i have got a WI-Fi connection on the Sony Bravia and a mirror image but no Mac connection.
when you say stream are you trying to get a mirror of the computer screen on the Sony TV or show video or images from a flash drive?
If flash drive you need to format the device to FAT32 or EXFat

Good morning, I now find that I have have a dongle to fit in my Sony Bravia KDL-42W829B or as you say HDMI, USB
Sony use Miracast and as Apple use their own AirPlay I think (STUCK is the word) but thank you again.
