Can't find ipod touch 2nd gen driver software on my laptop.

Hi i was wondering if anyone could possibly help me out. i have an ipod touch 2nd generation which i am trying to sync to my ASUS laptop, it was stuck in recovery mode for a short period. I took my ipod into iStore and they helped me fix it, the support team told me there is a problem with windows 10 detecting apple devices and driver software.

When i connect my iphone to my laptop it opens up itunes and works perfectly but when i connect my ipod to my laptop it does not inform me that the driver software is being installed i have the same problem on my desktop. I connected it to my friends macbook and it also did not work but when i took it into iStore the driver software was detected.

Is it a problem with my laptop or my ipod? Please help.
