hidden network problem ios10

I have recently installed IOS10.2 on my iphone 5s and ipad air - since then both devices cannot remember hidden SSIDs - I followed advice online by resetting network settings on the iphone as I have to connect to a hidden SSID at work every day, now the iphone will not connect to this network at all. Can I roll back the update? Will there be a fix for this? I am very annoyed that Apple should roll out such updates that clearly do not function correctly, and will not buy another apple product if this is what happens.
