AirPods sound quality issue

Hello. Today I received AirPods. I have issue with them and everyone who get it too. When I’m listening music sound is good, but when I’m calling or talking to Siri sound(not my voice, I mean sound of Siri or person with who I’m talking) is very very poor and laggy. It happens only when microphone is active. AirPods are working, but when mic is active sound became very bad quality, but then after mic is turn off (after call or talk to Siri) sound became good again. When micAll my friends have same issue. I tried to reproduce it on my MacBook, all the same issue with iPhone, MacBook and Apple Watch. Its mean that its not depend of iOS and macOS version and king of device. It needs to be fixed ASAP. Because its really bad… All my friends have the same with their AirPods.

Hey I actually figured it out, it was a problem with the client. You have to go into the games settings and change the voice to "built-in speaker" instead of "AirPods" and it fixed the problem.

I had the same issue. Bad quality listening to regular music on iTunes

I turned off ambience sound reduction (find in Settings > Sound > Input) and it solved the problem

This solution just solved the problem... I don't know if it is the real reason of the poor quality, but the sounds back to good quality

Yes, its was I said before. Its bluetooth codec issue. Mac dropping it to SCO from AAC, but iPhone not.

Yes, I have exactly the same issue. I am about to begin a chat with a an apple advisor in a moment (.. in theory they will be with me in a moment)

So I've got 2017 MacBook and the issue is fixed now.

Also, AirPods work better with IP7+ that they used to with SE.
