AirPods sound quality issue

Hello. Today I received AirPods. I have issue with them and everyone who get it too. When I’m listening music sound is good, but when I’m calling or talking to Siri sound(not my voice, I mean sound of Siri or person with who I’m talking) is very very poor and laggy. It happens only when microphone is active. AirPods are working, but when mic is active sound became very bad quality, but then after mic is turn off (after call or talk to Siri) sound became good again. When micAll my friends have same issue. I tried to reproduce it on my MacBook, all the same issue with iPhone, MacBook and Apple Watch. Its mean that its not depend of iOS and macOS version and king of device. It needs to be fixed ASAP. Because its really bad… All my friends have the same with their AirPods.

AirPods are covered by Apple's One Year Limited Warranty.

My issue was With the iPhone call quality when using AirPods. Crackling and lots of hiss. In fairness Apple have already set up a collection and I'm now awaiting new replacements.

What is the ETA for replacement they gave you? Im waiting for call from AppleCare Supervisor to talk about my issue. He will call me tomorrow. I think that I also will send them my pair for replacement.

Currently it states 6 weeks but they told me once the get the old pair back they update the system with a proper date and this will drop significantly. Implied a week or two as they ship the replacements as priority.

Weak sound quality of Siri using AirPods on my iPhone 7, iPad Air2 and macbook pro.

Music and Videos are ok.

I have same issues, just while on the Phone or using Siri. It seems for me, that this issue only appears when the microphone is in use. You can also test it on your Mac or in Facetime/Skype. When you select Outout=AirPods and Input anything other then AirPods, you will have no issues. I will try to get them replaced asap. If somebody could confirm, that it can be solved via Software, I would be happy!

Tomorrow will send AirPods to Apple to get replacement. After that I will post again.

After 2 Cases @ Apple I have got a call yesterday. They are trying to enforce me now to send my AirPods to Ireland to Apple Engineering because this is the first time, they have heard about that issue and they want to dive deeper into it. So tomorrow morning they will be picked up and they - for sure - promised me to get me some new AirPods asap!
