I'd like some drivers for printer. Is canon site safe to download them as self-installed trojans are Mac's worst nightmare and I have no real time scanner to detect if something comes in.

I just find it weird one is canon.com while other canon-europe.com - if it is same company, shouldn't it be europe.canon.com...

Yes, they are Canon sites. They are different because they may provide different products, with different model numbers. You should use the site for your area, as it should be using the model numbers that correctly align with your product.
It's safe if you key the address in yourself.
I guess if you can't trust the product manufacturer to provide drivers without "trojans", your chances of finding a safe place is pretty slim.

I checked the driver numbers on both site. They seem to match so, doesn't matter from which I download? The US one looks better with https too.
If your product is showing on both sites, it shouldn't matter which one you use.
