does classic ipod work with car play?

I have a new BMW with carplay. I use an iphone 6. the phone connects with carplay using bluetooth. I connected my ipod using a usb port but can't access it. Can you have 2 devices connected to car play?

No. CarPlay only works with an iPhone.

It will be compatible only with the iPhone models shown at the bottom of the article linked below.
