Actually, after a little bit I notices the data was reset and sync.
Apple, I think you should add a confirmation that tells the user the sync will happen in the background when somevody clicks on the reset button, otherwise it's very confusing.

Mine is doing the same thing. I tap "Reset Sync Data" and nothing seems to happen. I keep on checking my iWatch to see if the Calendar has been updated and no it hasn't. Any ideas why this is happening?
It is misleading that the reset sync ‘button’ can be pressed with no feedback from the interface it should state that it is now working in the background to update. Maybe in an update ?
Hi how did you correct this? I am having the same problem.
As advised in my previous reply:
"It is normal for nothing to appear to happen when you tap the Reset Sync Data button. The process runs in the background, invisibly to you, so allow some time afterwards for it to complete."

If you would like to submit a feature request to Apple, then you can do so here:

What do you mean by "won't let me press the rest sync button"?
Is the button present?
When you tap it nothing happens?
What are you trying to accomplish?
Hi
It is normal for nothing to appear to happen when you tap the Reset Sync Data button.
The process runs in the background, invisibly to you, so allow some time afterwards for it to complete.
I consistently press the reset sync button & nothing happens ... it doesn't reset
Keep in mind that there is no Contacts app on Apple Watch. Nor, under watchOS 3.x, is there a Friends app (which was included under prior versions).
Under watchOS 3.x, when placing calls or sending new messages, contacts can be selected via the Phone and Messages apps or by using Siri:
If contacts are not syncing to your Apple Watch despite resetting your sync data, it may help to unpair and re-pair your watch:
If you only wish to unpair your Apple Watch, follow the steps here:
Same is happening to me... any ideas Apple
I believe there is supposed to be a pop up menu to confirm that rises from bottom , when you press but it’s not popping up. Probably yet another bug...
same here. I tried to press the reset button in the iPhone watch app and nothing happens, no confirmation, and no re-sync
Yes i did have the exact same problem i hit the botton and after about 5 min everything was fixed
