Can apple allow us to use google maps for CarPlay?

I think most of the people now used google maps nowadays.

Apple CarPlay is great and Siri works as a co-pilot, but here's the problem, because apple doesn't allow google maps to work with CarPlay and the apple maps does not cut in like google maps, most of us now will need to walk around to use google maps while driving.

This is absolutely a joke, we pay the money to buy the iPhone and because apple is not interested to invest on maps application and won't want google to stand a part in their phones, we need to suffer!

Please if someone in apple can raise this issue and do something about it, nowadays almost all new cars come with apple CarPlay and android auto, it's definitely huge gap between!

Drivers are leaving apple because iPhones can't do what android does in the car!

Please help us out!

This is a user to user technical support forum. Apple is not here. If you wish to share your thoughts with Apple, you can do so here: Apple - Feedback

And I don't really think that anyone with a car and an iPhone is suffering....

Quite honestly, I don't understand the need to use CarPlay at all. I have a 2017 Kia Niro with CP installed, but my nav app of choice is Waze. I simply have my iPhone mounted on a $16 vent holder next to the radio/heater/etc. touchscreen and plug it into the USB jack. I play music off my phone thru the car speakers (without using CP) and Waze pauses the music when there are road issues to report (i have turn-by-turn off most of the time). CarPlay just adds an unnecessary and completely avoidable level of complexity. BTW, Siri works with the steering wheel controls allowing me to make and answer calls hands-free.
