My notifications seem to disappear quickly. How can I see a whole day of notifications? Also, can I see notifications by app? I thought that was a feature and I can't find it anymore.

Have you checked Settings>Notifications><name of app>>Show in History and made sure it's turned on?
It is a setting in Notifications that you can turn on or off. I gave the complete path above. Turning that setting on means that the notification will remain in Notifications until you act on it. Once you've done that, it's gone.

Having exact same issue. Had eight notifications and locked the phone accidentally. Now they are all gone and nothing is in Notification Center. I've killed 10% of the battery going through it all.

The same place anything else that gets deleted goes: it ceases to exist.

I have a similar problem, but the notification has already left the notification centre. I have no idea who it was from, but I cannot find the message.
Is there a way to see the history in the notification centre to see who the message was from?

If you have the latest update, go to your lock screen (showing the clock and date), but do not unlock your phone. Touch your locked screen, hold, and scroll up. If you have notifications turned on, the history should appear.

Did you ever find out how to retrieve old notifications? Every time I try to do one of these suggested tips such as roll the screen down on a locked screen, all I get is a big fat NO NOTIFICATIONS. I do not have my phone set to wipeout the history either in my settings. I appreciate any tips you can give if you successfully retrieved your deleted notifications. Thanks!

Once you tap on a notification so that it opens up the app, it's gone. It's not saved anywhere. There is no "Notifications History".
