Airport Express 2nd Gen having connection issue with iPad Mini 2

It's been six months since I last use my Airport Express 2nd generation for Airplay. Today when I turn on it, airplay no longer works from my iPad Mini 2.


At first the signal keep dropping (light turns to amber), few seconds later sound is back (green light), then drop again. Repeat.


Then I try it from my iMac, no problem with Airplay.


Then I try it again with my iPad, no audio from Airplay.


Anyone facing the same issue?

Basically what you have confirmed is that AirPlay is functioning correctly on your AirPort Express, but your iPad is not able to stream to it. This issue can be caused by a number of reasons. Most likely, a configuration setting on the iPad is not set properly.
