Hi guys! My Mac mini wouldn't connect to my wifi hotspot. I tried a million times and it still not connecting. The AirDrop wouldn't work if not connected to the wifi. I tried analyzing my network and it still doesn't work. My Mac Mini specs: i5 2.8gHz 8gb ram intel iris and still covered in warranty

I can't even connect to my wifi hotspot named "ChaiMinchern". The wifi router is located next to my computer, and I'm connecting via Ethernet. I don't know if it is a hardware faulty or software or my router. Mines is Asus RT-N12HP 802.11n.
Hmmm ethernet you say, not Wifi?
System Preferences>Network, click on the little gear at the bottom next to the + & - icons, (unlock lock first if locked), choose Set Service Order.
The interface that connects to the Internet should be dragged to the top of the list.
I'd tried it but it kept giving me error messages, just like in the picture in attached.
How many bars are showing on the Wifi icon?
Also hold alt when clicking on the icon, what does it report?
Any USB3 or other wifi devices nearby?
Indeed! It's Seagate Backup Plus 1TB Portable drive. Not as fast as a ssd but fast enough for me as I've never used a ssd before.

Try this first...
If using Wifi/Airport...
Instead of joining your Network from the list, click the WiFi icon at the top, and click join other network. Fill in everything as needed.
Hey everyone! Thanks for the reply! I solved it on my own, it was actually a hard drive that interfered with the wifi antenna.
